RoboCop the movie

It would be a disgrace to discuss the 1980s best action movies without RoboCop. The picture is widely considered to be among the all-time greats in the genre. Paul Verhoeven’s debut picture in Hollywood is still considered a classic amongst the most iconic action films of the 1980s as well as one of the sharpest and most direct satires from that time period. RoboCop is a movie that, when I was younger, I could have been tempted to write off as harmless popcorn entertainment since it was made during that era's popular action genre, but the passing of time has only made its significance more apparent than it ever has before. It has the appearance of an action film, precisely the way that we like them, but what's lurking underneath is where the marvels that compose Paul Verhoeven's body of work become obvious. Sometimes, I wish I could give the younger me a hard time for not being able see all this. However, Robocop helped me to simultaneously accept the images of graphic violence. Because of this, it may have contributed, at least in part, to my being able to get as (updated) far as I have.
